Found some fish over the past week at the state park. Got my uncle onto a nice 16 lb fish, my mom on a few nice fish over several days, and I got one that was just shy of a whopper at 19lbs 10oz. Was a good week of fishing.

Some weird stuff man, so this week I found out you can readily catch cisco and lake whitefish in lewis and clark bay using silver spoon type baits like a swedish pimple or kastmaster jigging spoon. We got several over many days in roughly 7 feet of water but I also found them in deeper water too. The whitefish tended on the bottom while the cisco tended higher into water column all the way to just under the ice. Fun times though and apparently really good eating.
We also caught a random walleye in the bay on a swedish pimple, kinda cool it was a good size at 19.5 in
Fishing has been annoying. I keep looking for big pike and cannot find them. We have had almost 3 weeks of above freezing highs so melt is happening but I cannot find big pike. I catch small ones but nothing crazy. I have been trying all the normal area to no avail. Today I learned some stuff from a internet video and tried it out to catch cisco and I got 1 in lewis and Clark bay so that’s cool. Will keep trying.
Went looking for crappie again at Lewis and Clark at the docks. Did not find any again but found more small pike. They loved these jigging raps. I also saw a group out in middle of bay on a small hump catch Cisco and a large 13lb pike.
Tried to find crappie on the docks at Lewis and Clark but instead found schools of minnows and a lot of small of small pike. Was a lot of fun. Also caught a lake white fish.
Drum were put in force today! Caught idk how many plus managed enough smaller walleye. All were at Tobacco area, which was murkier than the other side but got nothing there.
Took the boat out of 4 bears down to Hunts Along bay today for the first time looking for smallies. Did not find many of them, 3 total on the day, but did catch a lot of 12-16 inch walleye in 9 to 12 ft of water on spinners and worms. Also lots of small pike. Water was stained but not bad. It was also a large fishing tourney today where they did catch bigger fish so just gotta find them.
We kept 6 of those smaller eyes, along with a drum, 2 white bass, 1 smallmouth, 2 perch.
Took the boat out with amanda, was a nice 70 degree day but was pretty windy. Water temp was 52 degrees. We only got 1 walley in 8 ft of water on a green Lindy minnow and that was this 7 lb whopper for amanda. Otherwise we caught some small pike and white bass. Was pretty slow for everyone it seemed.
Haley and I finally managed to get on some pike at Lewis and Clark today. She got her biggest fish at 12lbs and we got a lot of smaller ones too. Also some white bass. The next day was the same. Also 2 nice cat fish were caught, 1 each day.
We were down near the marina on the shallow side of the bay, seemed like some good action there. Water temp was around 50 degrees.
Finally open water!!! Ok lunds was half open, weather was low 50s, windy, and cloudy but the white bass were stacked in the culvert in like 3 feet if water. A few male pike were there as well, and I caught one at 10 lbs! Feasting on the white bass I think as I saw one attack one and the pike had what looked like one in its stomach. First real bit of warm weather though so the start of real spring.
